With your new Nicegram Wallet, you’re now all set to manage your cryptocurrencies safely and efficiently!

How is your wallet secured?

Unlike traditional digital wallets that require users to memorize a 12-word seed phrase for recovery, Nicegram Wallet simplifies this with its account abstraction mechanism.

Nicegram Wallet secures your account through a three-part token system. First, a unique identifier is linked directly to your device, anchoring your wallet specifically to your hardware. Next, your Nicegram Profile, which includes all your securely registered account information, adds another layer of security. Lastly, a password that you create and manage yourself provides personal security.

To restore access to the wallet, you simply need access to any two of these components. This approach eliminates the need to remember complex seed phrases while maintaining high levels of security.

How to set a backup password for iOS?

Protecting your digital assets starts with a secure backup of your secret key. Here’s how to easily set up your backup:

Open Nicegram → go to Assistant or Settings → select ‘Nicegram Wallet’ → enter your passcode → tap on Settings then on ‘Create Backup Key’ → set up the backup password → you’re all set!

This backup ensures that you can always regain access to your wallet, keeping your digital assets secure, no matter what happens.

Where to find your recovery phrase?

Also known as a seed phrase, a recovery phrase is a series of words generated by your crypto wallet that gives you access to the assets associated with that wallet. It is crucial for backing up your Nicegram Wallet for recovery purposes in case you lose access.

To locate your seed phrase in Nicegram, follow these steps:

Open Nicegram → go to Assistant or Settings → select ‘Nicegram Wallet’ → enter your passcode → tap on the Settings then on ‘View Key’ → select ‘Manual’ → read and check the boxes → view and copy your seed phrase.

⚠️ Nicegram Wallet will never ask for your seed phrase directly. Do not share it with anyone and keep it stored offline. Disclosing your seed note can lead to irrevocable loss of your assets.

How to transfer or receive cryptocurrency?

Nicegram provides two convenient ways to manage cryptocurrency transactions — through direct in-chat payments and via the wallet. Here’s how you can use each method:

Send via Wallet:

Open Nicegram → go to Assistant or Settings → select ‘Nicegram Wallet’ → enter your passcode → tap on the ‘Send’ button → select the token → enter or scan the recipient’s address → enter transaction details (amount, optional note…) → press ‘Send and the token will be sent!

Receive via Wallet:

Open Nicegram → go to Assistant or Settings → select ‘Nicegram Wallet’ → enter your passcode → tap on the Receive → copy your wallet’s address or QR Code → share it with the sender → wait for the transfer.

In-Chat Contact to Contact Payments:

Open Nicegram → go to the chat with the recipient → tap on the ‘Nicegram’ button → select the wallet icon → follow the same instructions as above.

⚠️ Please remember, conducting transactions with assets other than the supported type will result in permanent loss. Always ensure the correct token type is selected before proceeding with your transactions.

What to do if you forgot your Nicegram Wallet’s passcode?

If you forget your Nicegram Wallet’s passcode, please note that the passcode is irreversible and cannot be reset. This measure is in place to ensure the security of your digital assets.

Here’s what you can do to regain access:

Save Your Backup Key & Seed Phrase: If you have set up a backup key and seed phrase, these can be used to regain access to your wallet. The backup key and seed phrase are designed to be fail-safe, ensuring that you can always access your funds even if the passcode is forgotten. Use the seed phrase for recovery by following the steps provided in our ‘Import Wallet’ section.

Import Your Wallet: If you need to access your wallet from a different user account or switch to another wallet within Nicegram, you can import your wallet using the backup key. This action restores access to your wallet and all its contents.

⚠️ Important Reminder: The passcode for your wallet is set by you during the initial setup and is not stored by Nicegram. It is crucial to remember or securely note your passcode. In cases where the passcode is forgotten, your backup key and seed phrase are your primary recovery options.
